The grand opening ceremony of the 8th Beijing Design Week themed by ‘creativity lights up Beijing’ , which’s organized by Organizing Committee of Beijing Design Week and People’s Government of Dongcheng District and co-organized by Management Committee of Zhongguancun Dongcheng Science Park and BDK, was held in No. 107 Creative Industry Park of BDK on September 22. Related leaders from District Committee of Dongcheng District, Beijing, BEHC, Organizing Committee of Beijing Design Week, Management Committee of Zhongguancun Dongcheng Science Park, BBEF, BDK and Chengguan District of Lhasa City, Tibet along with over 100 personnel attended the ceremony.

Firstly, Han Shufan, Vice Director of Management Committee of Zhongguancun Dongcheng Science Park announced the future plan for Hutong Originality Factory at the opening ceremony. He pointed out that under the circumstances of Dongcheng District’s development as a district with profound culture, ‘Hutong Originality Factory’ has received vigorous support from municipal and district culture industry policies. ‘Hutong Originality Factory’ has transformed from passive policy-oriented development to active innovation-oriented development in the last decade, and it will definitely move towards the development path of brand development, capital-driven growth, sharing and integration under the new trend of economic development. 

After that, Qi Zhanyong, General Manager of BBEF and Board Chairman of BDK delivered a speech, who announced the future development plan for Beixinqiao No. 107 Creative Industry Park, shared the plan for sustainable development of the industry park, and expressed warm welcome and sincere gratitude to the guests. 

Enterprises in Zhongguancun Dongcheng Science Park and businesses in Chengguan District, Lhasa will launch innovation sharing program at the same time, and jointly initiate cooperative projects through resource sharing, complementary strengths and business innovation. Beijing Design Week Co., Ltd., BDK, Mace Cloud New Media Incubator entered into MOUs with Tihhu Arts Center, Cemenlin Barbola Thangka Heritage Center and Ancient Architectural Arts Co., Ltd. in Chengguan District, Lhasa, which perfectly integrate the traditional cultural resources of Chengguan District, Lhasa, Tibet with industrial resources of those businesses, and allow the ancient city to pass down and develop its culture heritages and reveal its unbelievable charms. 

Then Zhou Jialei, Member of Standing Committee of District Committee and Head of Propaganda Department of Doncheng District, Zhao Bingdi, General Manager of BEHC, Wang Yudong, Vice Director of Organizing Committee of Beijing Design Week, Li Zhaohong, Vice Director of Standing Committee of Management Committee of Zhongguancun Dongcheng Science Park, Du Yumin, General Manager of BDK and other leaders went on the stage and started Beijing Design Week themed by ‘creativity lights up Beijing’. 

At last, Niangre Folk Artistic Troupe from Chengguan District, Lhasa, Tibet performed the intangible cultural heritage of Nang-ma song and dance show, and typical Chinese new media artists presented the large-scale new media light show of gravity tower, which brought the atmosphere to a climax, which turned on attendees and aroused cheers from the crowd.
