BDK held the grand 2017 award-giving meeting for technical patents and technical innovations in the No. 107 Industry Park, Beixinqiao on May 31. The purpose of this meeting’s to give awards and incentives to technical workers who made outstanding contributions to BDK’s technical innovations and design innovations in 2017. Leaders of the company along with over 40 staff from different business units and functional departments attended the meeting, which was chaired by Zhao Wanhe, Vice-General Manager and Chief Engineer of the company. 

Firstly, Zhao Wanhe, Vice-General Manager and Chief Engineer of the company announced BDK’s award-giving decisions, and gave awards to inventors of the four patents for utility models and one technical innovation award received since 2017. Representatives of award winners Wang Mingjian and Wang Peng made speeches on their experiences at the meeting. 

After that, Du Yumin, General Manager of the company delivered a speech. He pointed out that: today’s the anniversary for President Xi Jinping’s attendance of National Science, Technology and Innovation Conference. China has made enormous breakthroughs in launching of quantum satellite, deep-sea exploration of Jiaolong submersible, docking of space station, maiden voyage of independently developed aircraft carrier and test flight of C919 civil airplane successively over the last year, and BDK shall seize the momentum of the country’s innovation initiatives. According to the company’s ‘13th Five-Year Plan’ and ‘one main line, two industrial platforms, two priorities and one situation’ strategy, firstly we should facilitate the development of three technical businesses of security monitoring, special purpose vehicle and cable TV, promote technical service business for smart industry park, complete the integration of cable TV and JVC’s technical business, and make our technical business even bigger and stronger. Secondly, Secondly, we need to vigorously give rewards to IPR achievements, and apply for and receive over 20 patent technologies in 2017. Thirdly, we’ll strive to introduce compensation system and assessment methods for technical personnel and all staff in the second half of the year to further improve employees’ benefits and initiatives. 

At last, General Manager Du Yumin addressed that BDK has established its enterprise technical center with the approval of Beijing Municipal Commission of Economy and Information Technology, the next step is to gradually move towards entity operations, and realize all-round innovations in technology, structure and management. The enterprise technical center shall carry out scientific and technological R&D works concerning intelligent visual security monitoring project and internet of special purpose vehicle project, focus on applied technologies, cooperate with universities and research institutes, continuously introduce new technologies based on the company’s proven technologies, make breakthroughs in application for project funds, and thus lay a solid foundation for the company’s scientific and technological development.
