- BDK’s Meeting for Industry Integration (Founding of Electronic IT Branch)

BDK’s meeting for industry integration (founding of Electronic IT Branch) was held successfully at Beixinqiao Industry Park on August 7. Leaders of BDK, middle management of functional departments, cadres of different business units and over 40 employee representatives attended this meeting, which’s chaired by Ye Hailong, Deputy General Manager of the company. 

At the beginning of the meeting, Li Minghua, Deputy Director of Party-Mass Work Department of the company read Notice on Founding of Electronic IT Branch of BDK Electronics Co., Ltd. and documents concerning the appointment of related leaders of the branch, and specified different departments of Electronic IT Branch and their roles.

Then the newly appointed General Manager Ye Hailong and Party Branch Secretary Zhao Wanhe of Electronic IT Branch made speeches respectively, which declared their support of this industry integration and the founding of branch. Their pointed out that the Electronic IT Branch’s founded to integrate the advantageous resources in market, clients and technologies of existing security monitoring business and cable TV business, penetrate into smart city, smart community, safe city, intelligent building, emergency command and communication, special security, cable TV and other business areas, reshape BDK’s business sector of electronic information system integration and gain scale advantage through joint efforts of different parties, and further consolidate and strengthen BDK’s leading position in electronic information system integration market. It’s both an effective measure to accomplish BDK’s annual key tasks and core tasks, and a concrete step towards realization of BDK’s ‘13th Five-Year Plan’ and ‘one main line, two industrial platforms, two priorities and one situation’ strategy.

After that, Yang Xiaodong, Secretary of Party Committee of BDK made a speech. He said that the founding of Electronic IT Branch is in consistency with the company’s ‘13th Five-Year Plan’ and ‘one main line, two industrial platforms, two priorities and one situation’ strategy, and it’s a milestone event for BDK’s development, which shall be done in a rapid and excellent manner. He also raised four expectations on newly appointed leaders of the Electronic IT Branch: firstly, leaders shall attach importance to politics and the big picture. Industry integration needs staff to have the same mind and head towards the same direction. Secondly, the branch shall propagate industry integration strategy, build production capacity of core products, and stick to the path of technical innovation. Thirdly, party members and cadres shall give play to their roles as pioneers, shoulder their responsibilities, and pay respect to hard working and actions. Fourthly, leaders shall observe rules and disciplines, and never cross the ‘red lines’ and ‘mine fields’. 

At last, Du Yumin, General Manager of the company made concluding remarks, which specified the objectives and significance for the founding of Electronic IT Branch, its background and operation model. He indicated that the cable TV business and security monitoring business of BDK have made their own achievements during over two decades of development, and both made enormous contributions to the survival and development of BDK. Today, it’s very difficult for the two major businesses to survive the increasingly intensive market competition with their own strengths, and industry integration’s inevitable. He addressed that from the perspectives of active response to the country’s supply-side reform’s requirements on restructuring, transformation and upgrading of state-owned enterprises as well as the realization of BDK’s ‘13th Five-Year Plan’ and ‘one main line, two industrial platforms, two priorities and one situation’ strategy, the integration of existing cable TV business and security monitoring business is a major strategic deployment for BDK’s thorough implementation of the country’s policies, compliance with requirements for market development and consideration of its own development realities, which enjoys all favorable conditions.

General Manager Du added that ‘the vision of long-term development and utilization of overall strengths are the places to start for industry integration. Unified strategy, synergized businesses, improved efficiency and optimized human resources are the overall targets of industry integration.’ He hopes that based on BDK’s integrated industry platform, the ‘new integration’ of cable TV business and security monitoring business could lead to organic complementarity in the chain of electronic information system integration business, facilitate the improvement of BDK’s market competitiveness in technology industry and comprehensive strength, and give impetus to the growth of the company’s business scale and economic benefits.

He concluded that the Electronic IT Branch shall take advantage of BDK’s integrated industry platform, remain in consistency with the company’s HQ in strategy, develop profound understanding on the significance of industry integration, further implement industry integration plan, and make sure everything goes well at the beginning. Departments of HQ shall give full cooperation and support to the branch’s development, and the branch shall successfully accomplish the annual objectives assigned by the group while achieving synergized businesses, increased efficiency and optimized human resources ASAP.
